Smart Grid efforts at nist.gov

GreenMountain, June 1, 2010

Hi there,

In case you missed it NIST just released 2 sources sought notices:

  • Smart Grid Energy Consumption Test Facility: Commercial sources with the requisite qualifications and capabilities necessary to develop the design, implementation and operational plans for a 3-phase power and energy testbed and a 3-phase smart meter testbed and calibration laboratory that can be used to validate the accuracy of energy standard meters and smart meters and test their accuracy in an "as used" environment.
  • Evaluation of Infrastructure and Standards Needs to Support Plug-in Electric Vehicle: Commercial sources with the requisite qualifications and capabilities necessary to assess driving patterns based on different demographic regions (urban, suburban, and rural) and two different usage patterns (weekdays and weekends).

Keep up with NIST's Smart Grid Interoperability Standards Project here http://www.nist.gov/smartgrid/ and contact us if you want to collaborate.

Cheers!
